Pharmacy Buyer - Pharmacy Warehouse

Inova Health Pharmacy Warehouse is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Buyer to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, day shift.

Pharmacy Buyer Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures that pricing, availability, and approximate delivery dates are given to end-users daily or at the time of ordering.
• Reconciles pharmaceutical purchases for pre-payment statements while providing usage reports for customers.
• Updates the Primary Vendor Information System and verifies and submits invoices to Accounts Receivable.
• Processes out of date item returns via contract agents in a timely manner, processes credit to prime vendor weekly, and processes all received items to their designated location within Pharmacy daily.
• Orders controlled substances via C-II safe estimates or other modes while utilizing DEA guidelines.
• Ensures that accurate report information regarding products, pricing and usage are supplied to end-users as requested and ensures that all recall information is communicated to the appropriate departments and/or other personnel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School or GED.
• Experience: Two (2) years of buying experience in a Pharmacy.
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
