Position Highlights |
The Dhaliwal-Reidy School of Accountancy in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona invites applications from outstanding candidates for one Assistant Professor position to start in Fall 2026. The position is untenured, but tenure eligible. Candidates are expected to pursue a high-impact research program that results in publications in top journals in the field, effectively teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, mentor students, and engage in service activities for the college, university, and academic profession. The Dhaliwal Reidy School of Accountancy offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs, with our undergraduate program ranked #17 among public schools and our PhD program ranked #10 overall in the BYU Accounting Rankings. The school also has a vibrant research culture with faculty conducting research in the areas of financial, tax, audit, and managerial accounting, spanning both archival and experimental methodologies. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Perform
significant and continuing impactful scholarly research in accounting. - Publish
in leading academic journals. - Teach
in undergraduate and/or graduate programs and mentor students. - Serve the university
through various committee assignments and in additional ways, meeting the needs of both the school and college, and enhance their external stature through service activities for the academic profession.

Minimum Qualifications |
Assistant Professor, non-tenured/tenure-eligible:
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution by the start date.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high quality accounting research using machine learning or other advanced data techniques.
- Evidence of successful instruction of accounting courses at the university level, particularly with a focus on analytics.
