*Terms of the contract:* * 6-month contract with the potential of extension due to performance * Rate $18/hr- $24/hr- Negotiable depending on years of experience * Title Procurement specialist * Central time hours - 100% remote *Description* The Procurement/Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, managing purchase orders (POs), and supporting contract administration. This entry-level role emphasizes critical thinking, customer service, and attention to detail while ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. *Key Responsibilities* *Process invoices and ensure POs match corresponding orders. *Resolve discrepancies between POs and invoice amounts, including performing necessary calculations. *Review standard contract templates, checking for basic criteria and compliance. *Act as liaison during contract negotiations, assigning redlined NDAs to the legal team as needed. *Update POs based on cost center changes requested by the FP&A team. *Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive supplier relationships to secure favorable terms. *Partner with finance teams to align procurement activities with budgetary constraints while optimizing spending and seeking cost-saving opportunities. *Assist internal stakeholders with submitting and approving requests within the Workday ERP system. *Communicate procurement updates and generate management reports. *Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices for greater efficiency. *Provide training to internal teams on procurement policies and procedures. *Qualifications* *Bachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline); equivalent work experience considered. *Preferred: 1 year of experience in procurement, accounts payable, purchasing, or a related field (including internships). *Experience with ERP systems (Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.). *Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. *Strong critical thinking, customer service, and communication skills. *Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. *Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. *Ability to pay attention and follow directions. *Skills* Procurement, Purchasing, invoice entry, purchase order *Top Skills Details* Procurement, Purchasing, invoice entry, purchase order *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Strong critical thinking, customer service, and communication skills. *Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. *Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. *Ability to pay attention and follow directions. *Experience Level* Entry Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
