DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, your work involves validating licensure applications for completeness of data and the presence of all required documents. This includes gathering criteria for license from the laws, rules and regulations, evaluating licensure applications by comparing information provided and attached documents and disseminating licensure eligibility information to the public via telephone and written correspondence. This professional must be familiar with licensure requirements for each of the professions assigned, process applications and assignments in a timely manner and prepare accurate and comprehensive correspondence to customers. You will have the opportunity to provide courteous customer service as you handle telephone calls daily, interacting with applicants, other state agencies and licensing boards. In this role, it is essential to meet established deadlines, stay aware of on-going workload requirements and priorities and exercise good independent judgment and initiative within established policies and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, (negotiable) Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% after six months probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
