Executive Director Job Description

The Executive Director (ED) is the Chief Executive Officer of our non-profit organization and responsible for the organization's strategic leadership, operational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and externalrepresentation. The ED reports to the Board of Directors and ensures that the organization consistently achieves its mission of supporting agricultural employers while maintaining compliance with labor regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partnerwith the Boardof Directors to develop and implement a long-term strategythat advances the company's mission.
  • Keep the Boardinformed of key organizational developments, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Monitorindustry and regulatory trends impacting agricultural employers and labor programs.
  • Activelyengage and work with legislative bodies, regulatory agenciesand allied organizations to promote laws and regulations that further the goals and missions of the company and its members.
  • Representthe company in industry, policy, and advocacy forumsas the voice of member employers.
  • Recruit,supervise, and developstaff; ensure clear roles, strong performance management, and succession planning.
  • Fostera collaborative and mission-driven organizational culture that attractsand retains talent.
  • Align staff performance and programs with strategic objectives and member needs.
  • Overseefiscal management to ensure the organization operateswithin budget and maintains sound financial practices.
  • Partnerwith staff and the Boardto prepare annual budgets and financial reports.
  • Ensurecompliance with federal,state, and local regulations, includingaccurate recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Executeofficial correspondence and legaldocuments jointly with designated board officers.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company to members, agencies, industry partners, and the public.
  • Communicate programs, goals, and value effectively to association members.
  • Build and maintainstrong relationships with government agencies,industry groups, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. in Business Administration, Agriculture Management or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience serving a Board of Directors, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience within agriculture management
  • Strong knowledgeof agricultural labor programsand/or regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated financial management and organizational planning ability.

Schedule: full-time

FLSA: Salary, exempt

Location: Casper, WY (on-site)

Salary: $90,000+ annually, depending on experience
