The Role:

Our team is currently looking for an Engineering Technician to support the BIOS QA team in setting up systems in place and carry out FW component testing on regular basis. Identify and create new test plan for new features/new programs.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have good Hardware knowledge and experience about the platforms and able to execute the CPU/APU/GPU features and create tickets for issues. In this role you will be asked to reproduce problematic issues, troubleshoot, resolve, follow up, and document.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute automated tests
• Execute manual tests
• Initial triage of issue (is it an automation issue, test issue, or HW/SW issue? Is it an issue?)
• Manual repro of issues/tickets
• Write JIRA tickets
• Verify fixes
• Setup of physical systems
• Responsible for FW execution and exit reports
• Responsible for FW Regression testing and send out reports
• Create manual test cases.
• Verify script functionality on target devices
• Test plan creation
• Test Queue creation/modification/verification
• Delegate test execution to ODC Engineer(s)
• Provide inputs to HW ordering for program, if required

Preferred Experience:

• Hardware platform knowledge and experience utilizing CPU/APU/GPU features

Academic Credentials:

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred
