OverviewThe Microsoft AI Monetization team plays a pivotal role in shaping how Microsoft generates value from its AI innovations, particularly through products like Copilot, Bing, Edge, and Microsoft Advertising. This cross-functional organization is responsible for driving new monetization opportunities, business growth, and pioneering bold bets in AI-driven experiences.The Market Intelligence Team at Microsoft AI is dedicated to producing comprehensive competitive and market insights that inform the development of a world-class monetization platform for Microsoft and its partner publishers. The team collaborates with engineering, business planning, finance, marketing, and product management to support rigorous, effective, and data-driven decision-making.We are seeking a highly qualified Senior AI Monetization Strategy Analyst with a solid background in strategic analysis and business case modeling. This individual will evaluate external market and economic factors, recommending strategic priorities and investments designed to strengthen Microsoft's competitive advantage in the AI sector. The successful candidate will contribute directly to high-impact projects with executive-level visibility, including the assessment of emerging business opportunities in AI, financial modeling, competitive intelligence, and providing guidance on product strategy.Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
ResponsibilitiesResearch industry trends, competitors, and market data to support business cases and analyses. Compile and present financial, operational, and strategic intelligence. Generate reports on economic, digital, and AI trends with recommendations for new initiatives and strategies.Utilize strategic frameworks to evaluate and formulate recommendations regarding partnerships, projects, and growth opportunities. Develop robust, well-documented business cases to drive immediate and long-term organizational objectives.Collaborate with internal and external market research teams to maintain and enhance a comprehensive database of potential ideas and project opportunities.Share valuable concepts and methodologies with business partners to elevate strategic thinking across the organization.Provide analytical support and consultation on monetization strategies and business models.Foster solid working relationships within the strategy team and the broader matrixed organization, particularly with senior executives, product management, finance, and marketing colleagues. |
