$30.00 - $35.00/hour Position Summary: The Children's Aid's Adult Education Program at the Salome Urena Campus, offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESOL) Levels I - III and social-emotional learning (SEL). The Adult Education Program are offered in two cycles (September-January and February- end of May) depending on the course classes meet twice a week from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The ESOL Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to non-native English speakers, with a focus on fostering language development, academic progress, and cultural integration. The instructor designs and implements engaging effective lessons aligned with New York State standards and student language proficiency levels, using a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learning styles. Masters (preferred)
Bachelors (required) Experience
Able to teach adults in Core English as Second Language or social-emotional learning curriculum. (preferred)
