Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Financial Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate will be meticulous and highly organized and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all MSS transactions, budget modifications, and purchase requisitions/change orders across all of NYU Langone Health Business Units in accordance with organizational policies and system requirements. The candidate is comfortable working with HR systems, understands organizational hierarchies, and can manage a high volume of position-related and budget modification transactions with precision and consistency. Fostering relationships within Finance and all other internal constituents will be crucial to the candidates success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process daily MSS position requests related to Faculty/Staff new hires, allocation changes, and changes in salary for all employees across the Health System.
- Ensure data accuracy and appropriate justification provided supporting the new hire and/or salary change requests.
- Process purchase requisitions, change order requests, and RED+F Unifier transactions in compliance with the NYU Business Expense Policy.
- Review, and process budget modifications across all Operating funds ensuring these are in accordance with fund established rules and comply with existing policy.
- Assist with audits of position data and rectify discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain a position tracker to document a clear audit trail of all MSS changes.
- Interact with various finance liaisons during the process of approving all transactions related to position management.
- Support system testing and updates related to position management functionality (e.g., system upgrades, automation, or process changes).
- Assist with special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in a finance related subject (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business)
Oracle PeopleSoft experience strongly preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $63,568.13 - $76,774.11 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
