Description

This job reports to VP/Multi-Market Manager

Basic Function

This role is designed to train and mentor an individual pursuing a career in Relationship Banking.

Support the branch team by providing friendly and professional services to Bank clients including initial sales; service contact; troubleshooting; and providing the benefits of the Bank's consumer and business product lines.

Assist clients visiting the branch and phone inquiries.

Essential Duties

This individual will be trained on relationship banking duties including:
  1. Client development
  2. Client service and maintenance within Relationship Banking
  3. Teller duties as directed, including operating the cash recycler at the Highland Park or Northbrook Bank locations as needed
  4. Banking product knowledge
  5. Compliance/Risk
  • Adhere to compliance policies/procedures and internal controls
  • Support the Bank's efforts to ensure successful CRA results by participating in any Bank sponsored CRA activities when available. Responsible for ATM/Debit Card duties

6. Responsible for ATM/Debit Card duties

7. Perform additional duties such as
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Order and arrange supplies
  • Support Relationship Banking department in any capacity necessary
  • Assist with lobby management as needed
  • Assist with Safe Deposit access as needed in Highland Park location

Nonessential Duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Maintain friendliness and professionalism through the proper use of tact & diplomacy when dealing with clients at all times
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Current and remains up to date in relevant technology and systems
  • Strong level of accuracy and detail oriented
  • Ability to be flexible and to multi-task on a regular basis
  • Strong knowledge of bank deposit products & regulations
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Present a professional appearance

Training & Experience
  • College degree (Associates or Bachelors) or equivalent related experience
  • Military experience to be considered
  • Microsoft proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Additional training/education helpful

Compensation
  • Expected Salary Range: $42,000 - $47,000 salary/per year
  • Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
