Medical Illustrator

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Medical Illustrator to provide support to our government customer remotely.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITITES:

• Create highly detailed, colored and black and white, medical illustrations for medical trauma course curriculum, guidebooks, slide sets, and note-taking devices.
• Create simulation models as needed for teaching trauma care.
• Collaborate with the medical illustrator at the Uniformed Services University as needed.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree - Medical Illustration

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Good working knowledge of relevant science to include biology, chemistry, genetics, gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy, pathology, and physiology.
• Digital skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe CC suite, Autodesk Fusion 360, Savage Interactive Procreate and Redshift.
• Superior photography skills.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Additional digital skills with software such as Maxon Cinema 4D, Pixologic Zbrush and Osirix/Horos and or Chimera are desirable.

Must be a U.S. Citizen
