Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings. On the Azure SQL Experiences team, we build the essential developer tools that make this possible, and we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be at the heart of this mission. You will evolve DacFx, the core engine for database CI/CD and schema evolution, and shape our SQL extensions for VS Code, a go-to tool for developers and DBAs worldwide. ResponsibilitiesLead the architectural evolution of SQL Server Tools, building modern, cloud-native developer experiences for millions of users.Improve performance, reliability, and usability across tools that support critical enterprise workloads.Advance DacFx by integrating schema modeling, deployment automation, and CI/CD workflows into VS Code and Visual Studio extensions.Deliver new capabilities in DacFx to simplify and scale database CI/CD for cloud developers.Collaborate with customers and partner teams to evolve DevOps and database lifecycle automation into real product features.Embody our culture and values | |
