The Surface team is hiring an Electrical Engineer II to focus on electrical design and technology development for next generation of Surface products that enable AI in edge computing. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will work cross-functionally with different disciplines (Industrial Design, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, Software and Firmware) to develop compelling innovative products. You will design and develop circuits, select key strategic components and that encompasses the entire product. ResponsibilitiesDevelop Schematics and bill of materials (BOM) to meet the design requirements.Create motherboard floorplan and layout in collaboration with teams including the Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, and Thermal teams.Design, build, and test rapid prototypes for evaluation of new product ideas or technology concepts.Create design documentation, develop schematics, board layout to meet system design requirements.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the overall system of the product from concept to completion.Use simulation and lab measurement data to support design troubleshooting and propose corrective actions, drive failure analysis, root cause analysis, and design of experiments to resolve issues.Work with suppliers, contractors, and engineering services to ensure that the product is developed on time with high quality.Embody the Microsoft culture and values | |
