Hermitage Hall is seeking a Dietary AIDE to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Hermitage Hall (a UHS company) is one of Middle Tennessee's largest stand-alone psychiatric residential treatment Hospitals. Licensed by Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services as a mental health residential treatment center for children and youth, Hermitage Hall has provided services to families for over 30 years. Located southwest of downtown Nashville, off I-65 at the Wedgewood exit, away from the congestion of downtown Nashville, our team of over 130 high quality employees describe working here as family oriented, therapeutic, value clarifying. Our nurses, mental health assistants, psychiatrist, and therapist serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually, with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in children and adolescents.

Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide ensures that meals are properly prepared and ready for service on time. He/she must have the ability to work under stressful conditions and keep up with work flows. He/she must be pleasant and cooperative with fellow workers and be neat and well groomed. He/she should be willing to show understanding in dealing with problems and emotionally disturbed children.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare Meals
  • Wash pots and pans
  • Record temperature on all equipment
  • Clean out pot sinks with degreaser
  • Ensure that kitchen is cleaned daily
  • Perform meals and cleaning duties per daily schedule
  • This role will require standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
  • Unload heavy food supply boxes from delivery truck
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking food supplies and pantry items.
  • Reporting any food storages or equipment issues to management
  • Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and corporate compliance program, as applicable to role and responsibilities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent diploma required
  • Minimum of one year experience required
  • Experience working in a hospital, nursing homes, school cafeteria or mental health facilities preferred
  • Valid TN driver's license
  • Must be at 21 years old
  • Must be able to complete a mandatory, paid two-week new hire orientation M-F, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
