Allied Universal is hiring an Application Specialist II. The Application Specialist II will perform all the software duties for the installation of electronic control systems which may include programming and support for door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, fire alarm systems, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices and associated supporting hardware.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Support and troubleshoot software, typically working with both end users and experienced personnel
  • Administration and programming of Access Control and Video Management application(s)
  • Read and interpret design drawings, including wiring and labeling methodology, system wiring and system programming sheets
  • Provide technical expertise in development and execution Access Control and Video Management
  • Interact and communicate effectively with client and internal teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, vocational diploma, or equivalency (e.g., GED)
  • Upon hire, be able to obtain required state licensing (Low Voltage, D license, Alarm Installer license, etc.)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low-voltage communication industry installing field devices
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
  • Quality assurance skills; be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; seek ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; and monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Able to meet productivity standards, complete work in timely manner; strive to increase productivity; work quickly and efficiently
  • Safety and security assurance; observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
  • Adaptability- able to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Dependability- follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; commitment to reaching goals

BENEFITS:

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annual
  • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Enrollment in our company's 401 (k), subject to eligibility requirements
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
