Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Program Director for Corporate Services.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: Remote

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET)

Sentara Health is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our transformation team as Program Director for Corporate Services. In this high-impact role, you will partner directly with business leaders and initiative owners to build and mature capabilities that drive transformation success and long-term sustainability of their portfolio of work.

As a business partner and coach, you will guide leaders through the full initiative lifecycle-removing barriers, accelerating value realization, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. You will oversee financial performance for the business area(s) in partnership with Finance and Business Leaders.

Your role will also involve coordinating resources across multiple workstreams, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across departments including IT, HR, Analytics, and Communications.

You'll help design programs with clear governance, success metrics, and evaluation frameworks, while identifying opportunities for growth and enhancement.

You will lead and mentor a team of project management professionals while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.

This position requires a proactive approach to risk and change management, supporting teams in timely decision-making and problem-solving. You'll also be responsible for tracking performance, reporting outcomes, and promoting continuous improvement through data-driven practices and established methodologies.

Education

  • High School / GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 10+ years of proven experience leading complex projects. (Required)
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to influence across levels. (Required)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities. (Required)
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for transformation and operational excellence. (Required)
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-workstream programs in a dynamic environment. (Preferred)
  • Expertise in program strategy, governance, and performance measurement. (Preferred)
  • Healthcare experience (Preferred)
  • Agile experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in managing IT and/or Data Analytics projects/programs (Preferred)
