 This position will be responsible for ensuring that the various tax concepts compliance processes and planning activities are administered in a timely manner, including property, franchise, sales & use, income and excise taxes.Duties and Responsibilities
          
 
           
 Ensure the tax concepts (property, franchise, sales & use, income and excise) filings for the Company are prepared accurately and timelyPerform research and effectively apply tax laws and regulations to the CompanySupport the income tax area with fixed asset analysis and depreciation reporting from Powertax software program including case management and scenario planningAssist with tax audits from the following types of auditors: governmental, outside independent, and internalRespond to taxing authority notices & correspondenceAssist with monthly forecast updates related to taxesAssist with tax calculations for the Company's regulatory rate filingsAssist with integration activities related to taxesProvide support for property tax activities and analysis including appeals and declaration prepAssist with compliance and documentation associated with internal controls as it relates to the various tax conceptsMaintain high performance standards and constructive employee relations at all levels of the CompanyOther assigned duties to meet departmental and Company objectives

Supervisory Responsibilities
          
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
          
 
           
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
          
 
           
 A minimum of three years of experience working in the accounting field preferrably at least two years of corporate tax experienceExperience with PowerPlan, PowerTax, and Oracle preferredAbility to proficiently use Microsoft Excel spreadsheetsAbility to proficiently use the Internet and tax research databases to quickly locate tax guidanceStrong written & verbal communication skills
 
Physical demands, environment and schedule
          
 
           
 Work is normally performed in a moderately noisy business officeSome overtime may be required for due date driven projects
