As a Security Professional - Armed Logistics Access Control in Hialeah, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and monitor activity at a logistics and distribution location. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to promote a secure environment, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to everyone onsite. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the facility to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Verify identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, suspicious activities, and/or policy violations according to established procedures.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by delivering clear information regarding site-specific policies and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities.
• Operate security-related equipment such as access control systems and communication devices as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as appropriate, following site-specific guidelines and directions from Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a valid firearms permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
