Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Rosemount, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points at a busy logistics and distribution location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with staff and visitors to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of all individuals entering and/or exiting the premises.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while upholding site-specific security-related policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and interactions as required by site procedures.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following instructions and protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors to address questions and resolve concerns related to access control processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
