Valiant is looking for a Maintenance Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of administrative duties requiring basic knowledge of industry practices as related to the functions of shipping and receiving property.
- Principle duties include receiving, identifying, moving, packaging, stocking, and issuing supplies and repair parts.
- Performs receipt of property inventories by verifying goods received against documentation such as bill of lading, packing slips, and invoices.
- Prepares discrepant shipment report when damaged items are received or when there are quantity differences.
- Maintains receiving log and tags items or property as directed by the Property Manager.
- Assists in accounting for and performing inventories of tagged property.
- Moves items of property to/from organizational elements as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Prepares shipping documentation and properly packs items of supply for shipment.
- Maintains stock records and associated files and determines when inventory must be reordered.
- Performs audits inventory control records as directed.
- May research catalog information such as price, unit of issue, and source of supply.
- Prepares Equipment Disposition Request forms.
- Receives, stores, and issue items of individual clothing and equipment to the workforce.
- Prepares and submits equipment work orders necessary to repair non-operational equipment.
- Conducts monthly test of the Intrusion Device Alarm and files daily safety briefs.
- Prepares necessary shipment/turn-in documents when disposal of property is required.
- May receive and fill customer orders for material items.
- Occasionally operates material handling equipment.
- Uses computer to maintain stock records, receiving/shipping log, and inventory of hazardous material.
- Performs a combination of clerical tasks to support office and administrative functions such as maintaining records, preparing documents using computer software, operating computer software, and filing.
- Assist with employee work plans, time off requests, timesheet entry, training records, certifications, work schedules.
- Creates inner office purchase requests, orders office supplies, and tracks maintenance recovery vehicles and dispatch sheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be capable of operating a computer and proficient with MS Office products, such as Excel, Word, and Access or similar type software programs.
- Be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must submit to, and successfully pass, a urinalysis prior to employment; will be subject to random drug screening. Able to work nights and weekends.
- Solid communication skills and be capable of interfacing with customers, vendors, and installation support personnel.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of shipping/receiving experience or one year of warehouse operations experience.
- Knowledge of automotive repair parts and maintenance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work in different weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting 40 pounds.
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
