Scientific Advisor and Program Manager

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Scientific Advisor and Program Manager who can leverage their technical and scientific knowledge and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll work with world-class scientists, technical experts, and public health professionals to support enabling technologies. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of decision-makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, and assist with the management of current programs.Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.

What You'll Work On:

  • Contribute to programs with your technical or program management expertise related to the development of medical countermeasures for national health security threats.

  • Participate in strategic discussions and work within the Government in building new program areas.

  • Direct tasks and lead technical efforts and scientific projects, facilitate meetings as directed, and coordinate with industry partners and other agencies.

  • Serve as an advisor to assess new technologies, including completing market research, evaluating white papers, research abstracts, and technical proposals.

  • Provide assessments, recommendations, guidance, and educational materials.

  • Analyze protocols, study reports, regulatory documents, presentations, proposals, and related documents.

  • Support additional duties related to programmatic support and portfolio oversight.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in biological or chemical sciences, life sciences, clinical studies, pharmaceutical industry regulatory affairs, quality assurance, quality control positions, clinical trials, or epidemiological research

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of medicinal chemistry, preclinical and clinical development, including animal models, pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical operations, chemistry, microbiology, virology, and immunology

  • Ability to travel up to 10%of the time

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Master's degree in a Biological Science, Chemical Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Science, or Physical Science field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with analytical product testing and testing development, quality control, clinical trials, and regulatory policy

  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations

  • Experience in process development, process scale-up and process optimization, device development, and manufacturing

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and develop technical documents and presentations

  • Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects effectively across various stages of their lifecycle with minimal oversight

  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced environment and maintain diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and editing.

  • Possession of excellent organization and client service skills

  • Doctorate degree in a Biological Science, Chemical Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Science, or Physical Science field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
