Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Hospitalist Contingent Clinton Township

Hospitalist contingent opportunity available in our critical care area.. Flexibility to work the day or night shift is required. Schedule includes 1 weekend a month.

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides inpatient medical care, with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff (e.g.: Patient history, physical examination, ordering and interpreting tests, making diagnoses and instituting treatment plans.
• APP provides inpatient consultation on internal medicine conditions and may unction as a critical team member on the hospital code team.
• NP or PA in conjunction with the supervising physician conducts admission evaluations and assessments and provides inpatient medical coverage for community physicians, as necessary.
• May be required to take call. Specific procedures within the Department of Medicine are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.
• At least 1 year experience as an NP or PA on rapid response/Critical care necessary.
