JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sales Support Specialist will assist the Sales Team by creating reports and presentations, analyzing data, and maintaining the distributor database. Supporting the sales team with additional administrative support functions to allow the sales team to pursue sales targets and metrics for the organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Will engage with customers and serve as a contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing information about products and services, and resolving issues.

  • Maintain and update sales records, client information, and contracts to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

  • Responsible for entering data and updating information in Salesforce.com on Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities for Sales Managers.

  • Prepare and present sales reports for the sales team, management, tracking performance metrics, and sales targets.

  • Conduct research to identify potential sales leads and assist in developing sales strategies.

  • Help manage and maintain lead generation data, including updating Sales CRM and distribution of Sales leads.

  • Responsible for gathering and entering data into the weekly EOS Sales scorecard.

  • Utilizes a comprehensive understanding of Cambro's distribution and end-user sales model in order to provide autonomous support for our sales managers, representatives, and customers.

  • Utilizes Excel and PowerBI for advanced data management, including:

    • Analyzing data of Cambro products vs. competitive products for bids and RFPs.

    • End User Sales Reporting - extracts account product-specific data from accounting spreadsheets to provide detailed sales reporting by SKU for each segment tracked.

    • Exports information from AS400 and PowerBI into Excel to perform detailed sales analysis, including creating pivot tables, charts, and graphs for various types of sales analysis.

    • Data management, portal support, and marketing support for traditional distributors and national accounts

    • Sets up new product information; includes setting up vendor-specific product codes for key distributors.

    • Provides images and web copies for distributor websites.

  • Ability to incorporate detailed Power BI and AS400 data and convert into PowerPoint presentations.

  • Create reporting and PowerPoints for sales managers to support customer presentations, training courses, and strategic planning sessions.

  • Assist the sales team in routine administrative tasks as needed

  • Provide support to the sales management team on special projects.

  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with members of other departments and in cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.

  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.

  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.

  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.

  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.

  • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.

  • Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsibilities include order processing/entry, price quotations, information input and management, RFP response, product training or other related tasks.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Cambro products, including proper usage and application.

  • Comprehensive management of SalesForces.com.

  • Create and update documentation as needed by utilizing Camshelving Design software and Auto Quotes.

  • Utilize AS-400 system to gather, enter, and maintain information.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires a minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent experience, plus 2-4 years of experience in a sales administrative support role or in a related area.

  • Experience and knowledge of working in the commercial Foodservice industry.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to create routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to present and communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Computer skills/proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to effectively interact with members of all cross-functional departments with the utmost professionalism.

  • Ability to handle heavy workload and changing priorities.

  • Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred

  • Knowledge of technology platforms, including Salesforce.com, Power BI, Auto Quotes, and Camshelving Design Software

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$24.40 - $28.00

Salary may vary based on experience.
