Location(s): Houston, TX

Job Description:

Design, deploy DT Real Estate Projects as allocated by the Global Real Estate Team, in conjunction with Local Facilities groups and the DT Real Estate Project Manager.

• Technical design of the network infrastructure for all builds - related to expansion of existing facilities (Brownfield), deployment of new facilities (Greenfield) as well as Relocations, Co-locations, Integration and Separation activities - related to all aspects of the BAKER HUGHES Real Estate Program, as well as conversion of networks to BAKER HUGHES-managed during the course of the program.
• Said deployments to include (but not limited to) Networks: Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN) appliances, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless LAN controllers, Wireless Access Points (Client), as applicable.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Materials for said projects - in conjunction with site layouts, designs as available, using BAKER HUGHES Infrastructure standards that are in force.
• Ensure BAKER HUGHES Network standards are adhered to as part of standardization and implementation of technologies.
• Execute Enhancements/Upgrades to Baker Hughes network infrastructure as mandated by approved projects from time to time.
• Maintain all relevant project documentation related to network deliverables and for TTO purposes, via approved methods.
• Assist in site surveys, system installations, configuration management, maintenance, modernization, and sustainment of a global Enterprise Network.
• Anything else that is deemed as part of the DT Real Estate deliverables as the Program matures.

• Networking fundamentals: A deep understanding of routing, switching, subnet working, and network protocols (VLANs, STP, VTP), TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is non-negotiable.
• Network design and implementation: The ability to design, build, and implement resilient network topologies and systems. SDWAN experience is a must.
• Strong prior demonstrated experience on Cisco networking products, Arista Networks, Palo Alto appliances.
• Cybersecurity: Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures that are critical to protect network integrity.
• Automation and scripting: Skills in programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl are needed for automating repetitive tasks.
• Infrastructure design: the ability to design networks (physical and logical) based on a site layout with identified physical spaces and/or MEP diagrams , for office / Workshop / manufacturing environments, is an absolute must.
• Experience with the full pre and post project lifecycle for Real Estate Projects, networks and security solutions is beneficial.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication is necessary to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and to collaborate with other teams.
• Problem-solving: The ability to quickly identify, analyze, and resolve network issues is critical.
• Multitasking: Handling multiple high-priority incidents and tasks simultaneously is a regular part of the job.

• Bachelor's degree: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is the standard starting point.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• CompTIA Network+.
• Other advanced certifications like CCIE or JNCIE-ENT.
• University Degree from a recognized University.
