     | Position Summary | The Human Resources Generalist I provides human resources guidance and support for departments within the College of Family and Consumer Sciences (
       FACS). The Human Resources Generalist is a member of the Office of Finance and Human Resources (
       OFHR) and reports to the Director of Human Resources.
       
 The incumbent provides general human resources support, including UGAJobs and OneUSG Connect position, posting and hiring transactions, terminations, onboarding, offboarding/exit interviews and advising on best practices, policies and procedures. This individual is also responsible for managing the College's dedicated human resources email accounts and DocuSign account.

     | Duties/Responsibilities | Departmental HR Operations: 
       
 Manage Human Resources operations for the four departments in the College and any subunits of the departments, including: Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics; Human Development and Family Science, and McPhaul Child Development Lab; Nutritional Sciences; and Textiles, Merchandising and Interiors.
        
         
 Submit and track UGAJobs and OneUSG Connect position management, posting and hiring proposal transactions.Ensure compliance with I-9 and various federal, state, University and BOR regulations.Conduct search committee charge meetings, onboard new employees, and conduct exit interviews/offboarding meetings.Submit and track termination requests.Advise on USG/UGA policies, procedures and best practices.Assist hiring managers with position descriptions.
 
 
Confirm completion of position and hiring proposal actions and partner with OFHR Payroll Manager to verify all associated payroll actions are processed timely.
