As the Sr. Director of Actuarial Services on the UHG Trend Analytics team supporting Optum Health, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic analytics that shape how we understand, manage, and predict health care expenses across a diverse set of businesses, including Optum at Home (DSNP, ISNP, CSNP). You will lead a high-performing team responsible for producing mission-critical reports such as the Health Care Trend Analytics (HCTA) report and Medical Expense Reporting for executive stakeholders. You'll have both autonomy and support to build analytics; your expertise will be counted on to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, actionable-and communicated with clarity to all audiences. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll foster an environment of continuous improvement while helping position Optum Health as an industry leader in medical cost management. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: The Sr. Director in this role will work with detailed health care claims data to build and maintain visually appealing, client-ready, and accurate actuarial models and deliverables.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $156,400 to $268,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
