Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and technical leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of rail signaling by ensuring the delivery of accurate and competitive technical proposals that align with Alstom's commercial strategy. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Project Engineering, Development Centers), analyze customer specifications with System Architects, and coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless technical strategy-and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Leading the Bid Technical scope and delivering engineering estimates, compliance matrices, and technical proposals ,



  • Providing accurate estimates of engineering efforts required for tender preparation ,



  • Collaborating with Engineering Leadership to allocate technical team resources in line with bid requirements ,



  • Analyzing potential gaps between customer specifications and standard solutions with the support of System Architect(s) ,



  • Supporting the Bid Manager and Tender Leader in defining the most suitable compliance strategy ,



  • Ensuring that the system architecture aligns with the commercial strategy of the Solutions Directors ,



  • Coordinating bid internal stakeholders (e.g., Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Project Engineering, Development Centers) and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the technical strategy ,



  • Managing technical aspects of track/scheme plans, bill of quantities (BOQ), migration strategy, Project Design Organization (PDO), and Share of Work ,



  • Supporting the Bid Manager during customer negotiations, identifying and addressing any technical changes ,



  • Applying project engineering management principles such as scope management, risk management, requirements management, configuration control, planning and scheduling, and system deployment"

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related scientific/technical fields. ,



  • Knowledge of Project Engineering Management principles, such as Technical Leadership, Scope Management, Risk Management, Requirements Management, Configuration Control, and Change Management. ,



  • Familiarity with cost and planning control within the engineering scope. ,



  • Experience or understanding of Rail Signaling systems, including Interlocking (IXL), Automatic Train Control (ATC), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), and Integrated Control Center (ICC) solutions. ,



  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to manage customer relationships in contractual situations. ,



  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire technical teams. ,



  • Problem-solving ability to address challenges and provide effective solutions. ,



  • Analytical and critical thinking to evaluate complex technical requirements and propose strategies. ,



  • Resilience and a sense of urgency to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. ,



  • Decision-making ability to navigate technical and commercial challenges effectively.
