Salary: $ 69,800 - $ 86,000
Schedule: 980 schedule

Focus: Olin Winchester, LLC ("Winchester"), considered one of the world's leading ammunition manufacturers,is seeking a Business Development Operations Specialist. This position will be located at the Independence, Missouri facility. As a Business Development Specialist for Winchester, you will provide total life cycle customer service for a diverse group of customers which includes domestic and international government agencies, OEM's, distributors, and agents supporting the United States Military and its Allies around the World.

Business Development Operations Specialist Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for executing order service activities of receiving, entering, acknowledging, licensing, expediting, and invoicing customer orders.

  • Coordinate with appropriate internal resources to provide timely and thorough responses to Business Development Regional Managers in support of customers' request for proposals.

  • Deliver excellent Winchester customer service by owning the customer relationship for all orders from cradle to grave.

  • Monitoring of customer needs and/or issues and escalation as needed to Business Development Managers to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with appropriate internal resources to ensure scheduling of unique production requirements and/or allocation of standard production in support of customer orders.

  • Ensure all business activity is conducted in compliance with U.S. and Foreign Government laws and regulations and in compliance with Olin's policies and procedures.

  • Communicate production plans and delivery requirements to internal logistics team to ensure appropriate planning and execution of logistics in support of all orders.

  • Assist in development of marketing and product plans.

  • Compile data for input into department strategic and operating plans.

  • Prepare necessary documentation required for new customer set-up.

Business Development Operations Specialist Position Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree*; Bachelor's Degree* in Business Administration preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years recent Customer Service experience; related experience within manufacturing preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience in Winchester products and processes preferred.

  • Travel for customer visits and trade shows as needed: annual travel between 5 and 10%.

  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.

  • Must possess excellent analytical, communication, leadership, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, project management, decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • Must have a valid US Driver's License.

  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
