Job Overview

The Senior Director, Supply Chain Finance leads financial planning, analysis, and business partnership efforts to drive performance across the Supply Chain network. This leader provides strategic and operational guidance on financial planning, forecasting, expense management, and process improvement for Macy's Supply Chain. The Senior Director delivers key projects and develops financial models that support strategic network initiatives and business cases. The role serves as the primary liaison between Supply Chain Operations, Merchandise Planning, Real Estate, Technology, and Corporate Planning on all financial matters that impact or are impacted by Supply Chain performance.

What You Will Do



  • Serve as a key advisor and strategic partner to senior executives and peer leaders across Macy's Supply Chain.
  • Support management and cross-functional partners in decision-making related to network strategy, business case development, financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Influence senior leaders and drive the execution of decisions across the organization with clarity and accountability.
  • Oversee and manage financial performance for Supply Chain expenses, including distribution center operating costs, reverse logistics revenue, and inbound transportation, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Lead capital planning, forecasting, and administration for Supply Chain, including the development and presentation of business cases for corporate approval.
  • Partner with Corporate Procurement and Supply Chain teams on RFP processes, providing financial and analytical insights to support sound decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of operational processes and evaluate the financial impact of operational changes.
  • Recommend process and operational improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Communicate forecasts to Corporate Finance and coordinate all quarter-end close activities with Accounting.
  • Collaborate with key functions such as Corporate Financial & Capital Planning, Real Estate, Technology, Business Insights, and Investor Relations to advance projects and resolve issues.
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, ad hoc requests, and special projects, including tracking and reporting progress on key initiatives such as end-to-end operations and automation ROI.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Strategic Financial Leadership - Expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and performance management; able to align financial strategies with business objectives and drive results across a complex organization.

Business Partnership & Influence - Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and fostering alignment across functions.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Agility - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, build financial models, and develop actionable recommendations that improve business performance.

Operational & Process Excellence - Deep understanding of supply chain operations; able to assess financial impacts of operational changes and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and ROI.

Executive Communication & Presence - Exceptional communicator with the confidence and clarity to present financial and strategic insights to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

Leadership & Talent Development - Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and lead high-performing teams; committed to developing talent and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Ethics, Integrity & Values - Operates with transparency, fairness, and professionalism; builds trust through consistency, sound judgment, and ethical decision-making.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of related finance and/or accounting experience required. 5+ years of experience in finance with an emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, planning, analysis, and strong modeling skills.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
  • Supply Chain Operational Finance experience preferred.
