Position Summary
Flexible work arrangements, including virtual/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as hybrid. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs.

The Evaluation Operations Manager position will be a member of the evaluation team within Abacus, a research service center within the Center for Health Equity Research at UNC Chapel Hill. This position will be responsible for managing the operations and logistics of Abacus evaluation and research projects, facilitate strategic decision making and provide support for a portfolio of projects. The Evaluation Operations Manager will serve as a key point of contact for logistical/operational consultations and decisions within Abacus in collaboration with CHER Assistant Director of Operations. They will also refine and develop systems and processes to support Abacus operations and implementation and CHER-wide organizational growth strategies.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and internet browsers
Ability to use project management software (Asana preferred)
Ability to use survey software (REDCap and Qualtrics preferred)
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to consistently follow through and follow up with assignments of others
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to identify needs and develop and implement improvements
Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring accuracy, validity, and integrity of data
Ability to concisely, professionally, and effectively communicate in writing and verbally with staff, faculty, and individuals in other organizations, including report writing
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Master's degree preferred. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
Prefer candidates who have experience using project management software (preferably Asana)
Prefer candidates who have a research background/experience in social research and evaluation
