Responsibilities

We are seeking a part-time Recreation Program Coordinator for Eastman's Recreation team. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing use of several Eastman facilities by company employees and the community. The successful applicant will be expected to work an average of 24 hours per week year-round.


Responsibilities:
* Coordinating use of Eastman facilities including the Toy F. Reid Employee Center, Lodge and Planning Center by Eastman employees and external organizations, including managing, scheduling, planning, and executing set up for various events.
* Acting as production manager for events, coordinating and ensuring audio/visual delivery and support.
* Proactively and routinely communicating with partners.
* Serving as ERC Club representative for various member-led clubs and liaise between clubs and Recreation leadership, providing consultation to ensure continuity in program delivery, adherence to company policies and Recreation Club bylaws.
* Coordinating and supporting miscellaneous employee and alumni events in the Recreation organization.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, building operations or related field.
* Strong customer service emphasis with the ability to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
* Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* High degree of professionalism with excellent organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend events.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
