Responsibilities

This person oversees all security aspects of the Chicago Bally's Casino/CCBC jobsite. This person will have direct reports for security team and security sub-contractor, badging manager, and administrators handling Illinois Gaming Board responsibilities. This person will be responsible for evaluating the jobsite security and procedures, initiate and incorporate new policies, train security and badging staff, and enforce and change security procedures as the project evolves. Serve as main point of contact with Illinois Gaming Board(IGB) officials. Over see IGB contractor approval process and site access. Issue daily IGB site access/visitor report and any additional reports as requested by Bally's and IGB. Oversee and enforce worker badging process and daily badging report. Work with surrounding community stakeholders to address any security concerns.



Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field
  • 20+ years of experience in law enforcement and military operations, both nationally and internationally, with expertise in executive-level operations
  • Experience conducting thorough physical security risk assessments at diverse locations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective countermeasures
  • Experience conducting comprehensive security and due diligence investigations, leveraging open-source intelligence and contracted resources to uncover critical insights and support informed decision-making
  • Experience in crisis incident preparedness, response, resolution, preparedness, and response, with experience managing diverse security-related events with quick decision-making, safeguarding personnel and assets
  • Experience in successfully providing executive protection for senior leaders in high-risk environments, applying advanced tactical and risk mitigation skills gained through specialized federal law enforcement training, achieving successful security outcomes across multiple high-profile assignments
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining strategic partnerships with law enforcement agencies and industry organizations, fostering intelligence sharing and close cooperation in security effectiveness
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be willing to travel as needed, up to 50% travel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Expertise in deploying and managing advanced security technologies at diverse locations, including access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, alarm solutions, physical barriers, and drones to enhance personnel and site safety while protecting assets
  • Demonstrates strong critical and analytical thinking when evaluating complex challenges, identifying root causes, and implementing proactive solutions
  • Ability to expertly deliver technical and life safety security training to prepare personnel to identify and respond to security threats effectively
  • Ability to lead business continuity planning initiatives for catastrophic and disaster-level events, ensuring operational resilience and rapid recovery across corporate functions through risk assessment and scenario-based exercises

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Chicago, IL, this ranges from $135,000 - $155,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
