Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Sr. Design Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Nuclear Instrumentation Business Line in the Instrumentation & Controls Business Unit. You work will include a variety of complex engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems related to nuclear instrumentation, specifically RMAS and Incore products. Additional duties will include:



  • Working independently to evaluate apply advanced engineering judgment in making complex adaptations to improve designs and manage a product lifecycle
  • Identifying R&D scopes of work to improve product design for marketability
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations, organization, industry and customer engineering standards
  • Hands-on experience building prototypes and samples and knowledge of SolidWorks is preferred but not required

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $112,000 - $152,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
