Security Officer - Distribution Access Control

As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Control in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points within a logistics and distribution location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. You will play an important part in supporting a secure environment for people and assets, working as part of a team committed to agility, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with controlling access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring ingress and egress points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Provide customer service by following site-specific policies and procedures for access control in a logistics and distribution environment.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary according to protocol.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or maintenance issues as required by site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with site personnel to help to deter potential security-related threats and maintain operational protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
