Develops, implements, updates and maintains of all Pulmonary Programs and Neurodiagnostic departmental databases, logistical, administrative, operational functions in accordance to Hospital Policies, and Program Manager direction. Provide Administrative support for Program Manager overseeing arching departmental needs such as: Purchase ordering, request delegate on behalf of Program Manager, Rental purchase, Operation Budget order delegate, authorized Kronos scheduling and editing, and overseeing of all overseeing departmental files related to operations, administration, and logistics. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Data management & tracking for overseeing departments for fiscal sustainability and operational management.
    • 1.1 Coordinate and review of administrative, logistical, operational reports accordingly with leadership to ensure timely charging of procedures and notify appropriate clinical personnel for modifications.
  • 2. Management of Logistical of Clinical resource and Supply Chain distribution.
    • 2.1 Develop and revise inventory templates in collaboration with the purchasing department.
  • 3. Management of Administrative function in accordance to department oversight.
    • 3.1 Maintain and update weekly all staff records e.g paid time-off, absenteeism, tardiness and annual PPD compliance.
  • 4. Provides operational support to Respiratory Therapy Services; Pulmonary Function and Bronchoscopy, Sleep Medicine, and Neurophysiology
    • 4.1 Create clinical documentation downtime forms in collaboration with department manager/designee as needed.
  • 5. Demonstrates appropriate handling of medication in accordance with the following guidelines.
    • 5.1 Removes medication(s) from the pneumatic tube system sent from the Pharmacy or Hospital Supply to the unit/patient care area.
  • 6. Support and Assist Pulmonary Program Manager.
    • 6.1 Support and assist with day-to-day operation of Pulmonary Program Manager as assigned by Manager. Inclusive of Administrative/Operational/Logistical needs of both Bridgeport Hospital campus, Milford Campus Respiratory Therapy Services, Pulmonary Function and Bronchoscopy, Center for Sleep Medicine, and Neurdiagnostic EEG & EMG.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Associate Degree Required; preferably Business Administration. Bachelors Degree prefer.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2-3 years of office administration, logistical, and operational management; specifically in Health Care Operations. Have extensive delegation and coordination of record keeping, order entries, labor distribution, and resource utilization of credentialed personnel.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Windows XP, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access Excellent communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi task required Bilingual skills preferred- (Spanish)

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
