Service Access Team Lead - Duke Urgent Care Croasdaile

Duke Urgent Care Croasdaile is a dynamic clinic at the forefront of accessible healthcare in Durham. Serving patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, the clinic provides expert care for minor injuries and illnesses, including sprains, fractures, respiratory infections, and allergic reactions. With a diverse team of skilled providers, including a dedicated pediatric specialist, Duke Urgent Care ensures personalized, high-quality treatment when it's needed most. Known for innovation and excellence, this trusted clinic is a cornerstone of progressive healthcare for the community.

Location: 1821 Hillandale Road, Suite 24A, Durham, North Carolina 27705

Clinic Hours: 8am - 8pm, Monday through Sunday

Schedule: Monday - Friday

What you will do:

As the Service Access Team Lead, you will oversee daily front-end operations, ensuring patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate service. You'll support staff, coordinate with clinical teams, and help maintain efficient workflows that promote excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate and take part in department or clinic service activities, including greeting, interviewing, registering, admitting, and discharging patients.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate diagnostic and treatment services, ensuring efficient operations and quality patient care.
  • Supervise and assist with determining patient sponsorship eligibility, setting up financial arrangements, and establishing service fees.
  • Maintain communication with medical staff and other team members to manage policies and procedures related to patient flow, and the use of space, time, supplies, and equipment. Provide recommendations to leadership on improving patient care and clinic efficiency.
  • Review patient charges for accuracy and assist with questions about billing and payment processes.
  • Plan and schedule work for clerical staff, ensuring tasks are properly assigned and the team has the space, resources, and training needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Oversee or provide input on personnel actions such as hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and vacation schedules.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support clinic operations.



What you will need:

Education



  • High school diploma required.



Experience



  • Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  • An Associate's degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
