Requisition ID# 168216 Job Category: Engineering / Science Job Level: Senior Manager Business Unit: Electric Engineering Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland; Fresno; San Jose; San Luis Obispo; West Sacramento Department Overview The team of Electric Engineering ensure all manners of electric engineering are in place to safely enable a strategic and stable workplan for our Electric Operations partners. Our organization is accountable for planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. The Transmission System Planning (TSP) department performs Interconnection studies, multi-year assessments and develops a portfolio of transmission expansion plans and projects to meet the company's transmission needs for delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers while adhering to North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) planning standards. The department is also involved in developing transmission expansion and strategy to help achieve the Company's and California's clean energy goals. Position Summary The Senior Manager of Electrical Transmission Interconnection Planning oversees the strategic development, planning, and interconnection of generation and load interconnection projects in PG&E's Electric Transmission System. This position is accountable for providing leadership and direction for system design and capital program investments to facilitate successful interconnections, while promoting a culture of safety, and cultivating technical expertise within the organization. The Senior Manager ensures compliance with applicable tariffs, standards, and processes, and driving continuous process development and organizational growth. Additionally, this role provides technical and strategic guidance internally and serves as PG&E's representative at regulatory, industry, and customer forums. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory between Fresno, West Sacramento, Oakland, San Luis Obispo or San Jose locations, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need. Position will require approximately 15% of travel time in work schedule. Incumbent should expect to attend team staff meetings in Oakland. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum:$170,000 OR California Minimum:$162,000 This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.
