As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Gate in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol key areas within a logistics and distribution location. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on-site. What You'll Do:

• Carry out access control procedures, including verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and delivery personnel with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and identify potential issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations such as unauthorized entry attempts or disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual activity according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and collaborating with site personnel and emergency responders.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other security-related concerns within the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
