Job Description




As a Airport Security Professional in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the overall mission of the location. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee

    Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to assist with maintaining order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity within the government location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and timely manner according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding the reputation of Allied Universal at all times.
  • Support access control procedures and verify credentials as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Follow post orders and any additional instructions provided by Allied Universal management or site supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • It is preferred that applicants are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
