Staff:

Estimated annual base pay: $127,200 (minimum) - $159,000 (midpoint) - $190,800 (maximum)

Senior Staff:

Estimated annual base pay: $144,000 (minimum) - $180,000 (midpoint) - $216,000 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an experienced Staff Systems Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Staff Systems Engineer reports to the Engineering Leader and is responsible for support of system development, leadership support, collaboration and process improvement. This position works under a low level of supervision and performs a high level of independent work while accountable to exemplify a systems thinking culture. This position has a high level of industry and customer contact especially relevant to contemporary practice and market technical needs. This position will utilize interpersonal skills and technical judgment to balance the demands and risks of the system and stakeholders. This position supports negotiation, opportunity evaluation and influences technical direction aligned with stakeholders.

What you will be doing...

  • Derives system requirements and establishes acceptance criteria

  • Identifies and manages areas of uncertainty and risk

  • Works with customers and across the organization for concurrent engineering and enterprise integration

  • Defines system and subsystems lifecycle

  • Performs system modeling and simulation, engineering mathematical, and quantitative analysis

  • Determines system architecture that best meets requirements

  • Coordinates project plan design throughout PLC phases

  • Performs system validation and verification

  • Performs technical risk management and configuration control

  • Manages system/component interface and technical assessment/control

What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Science required

  • Relevant experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required

  • Provides leadership of system and subsystem technical scope defined above and takes a lead role with engineers, designers and technicians
