Job Description




As a Security Professional - Tech Campus Access Control in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a dynamic tech and media location, you will manage access control responsibilities, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout assigned areas to foster a secure atmosphere. Our team values reliability, innovation, and a people-first approach, so strong customer service and communication skills are essential. This position requires a valid driver's license in the job state, as you may be required to drive while performing your duties.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry only to authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and helping to communicate site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures tailored to the needs of a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report irregularities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access records in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or medical situations when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with site management, employees, and Allied Universal team members to promote a secure and welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
