Overview

The Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable leads the strategic direction and daily operations of the domestic accounts receivable collections department. Oversees a team of managers and collectors, drives process improvements, ensures compliance with financial policies, and partners cross-functionally to optimize cash flow and customer satisfaction. Serves as a key liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders, promoting a culture aligned with AIT's core values. Key to this role will be the focus on continuous improvement and the evolution of the accounts receivable team to support a growing company operating in multiple operating systems - enhancing oversight by developing reporting and Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's), ensuring the accounts receivable team is well trained in all systems and implementing scalable solutions to enhance efficiencies and control.


Responsibilities

    Strategic Oversight: Lead and evolve the accounts receivable (AR) strategy, aligning departmental goals with broader financial objectives.
  • Design, Implement, and Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee generation and interpretation of AR reports. Establish an efficient method to provide insights to leadership on aging trends, risk exposure, and collection effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor AR managers and staff. Conduct performance reviews, develop training programs, and foster a high-performance culture. Develop team structure to ensure balanced workloads for all layers of the AR organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Station Managers, IT, and Finance teams to resolve disputes, improve workflows, and enhance customer experience.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements. Approve credit memos, refunds, offsets, and intercompany transfers.
  • Systems Oversight & Implementations: Ensure team is well trained and establish system expertise for all transactional systems impacting AR. Investigate and select best solution for a multi-system environment to enhance collections capabilities while generating efficiencies and controls.
  • Credit Management Support: Collaborate with the Credit team to evaluate credit requests and mitigate financial risk. Enhance credit review capabilities within AR team to reduce the need for escalating credit decisions to senior finance members.

  • The wage range for this position is $119,700.00-$172,300.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience


Qualifications

Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required. ()
* Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. ()

Experience
* 7+ years in accounts receivable, credit management, or financial operations is required. ()
* 3+ years in a leadership role is required. ()

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Work experience with AR Systems & Reporting (e.g., GP, ERP platforms) High
* Must have strong leadership and team development that includes supporting within a team environment. High
* Must be able to conduct financial analysis & forecasting. High
* Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers with disputes, resolution & negotiations High
* Strong knowledge with compliance & internal controls High
* Excellent communication skills & with stakeholder engagement High
* Working knowledge in process improvement to include but not limited to: (Lean, Six Sigma) Medium

Licenses and Certifications
* A Certified Credit Executive (CCE) or similar certification is required upon hire. ()
