Overview

Under the guidance of the Systems Manager of IT Tech Mod and App Govern, the Associate will play a key role in advancing the company's Technology Modernization Program and Application Governance initiatives. This opportunity allows the Associate to contribute to transforming and future-proofing the application landscape by upgrading outdated technologies and supporting rationalization and modernization efforts.The Associate will gather and analyze data, publish information on SharePoint, and build Power BI dashboards to visualize the application technology roadmap. They will help ensure alignment with ongoing projects focused on application rationalization and modernization.Additionally, the Associate will leverage AI tools to identify opportunities for automating processes, improving efficiency across IT operations. Acting as a liaison between application teams, ServiceNow, and other IT partners, the Associate will maintain accurate and up-to-date application data, supporting informed decision-making through the modernization dashboard. Attention to detail, collaboration skills, and a strong interest in technology will enable the Associate to effectively support IT leadership and business partners.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Assist in supporting the Technology Modernization Program and Application Governance initiatives, focusing on upgrading application technologies and aligning with rationalization and modernization efforts.
  • Gather, analyze, and validate data related to application technology and governance.
  • Publish and maintain relevant information on SharePoint, ensuring content accuracy and accessibility.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize the application technology roadmap and modernization progress.
  • Collaborate with application teams, ServiceNow, and other IT partners to ensure application data is accurate, up to date, and aligned with modernization goals.
  • Leverage AI tools to identify opportunities for process automation to improve efficiency within IT operations.
  • Support IT leadership and stakeholders by producing leadership reports, data analysis, and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve documentation, processes, and standards related to application governance and modernization activities.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Assist with special projects and other related tasks as required to support the IT Tech Mod and App Govern team.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus and a minimum of one year, which includes cumulative work experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience, or six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience or
  • Master's Degree with a specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus and a minimum of one year, which includes cumulative work experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience, or six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Visio, OneNote, OneDrive), Preferred
  • Demonstrated learning agility, initiative, and technical research skills using online tools and training resources, Preferred
  • Experience working with AI tools to identify automation or process improvement opportunities, Preferred
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools or online resources to identify automation opportunities and improve processes, Preferred
  • Awareness of IT security and compliance principles, with a willingness to learn and apply these standards, Preferred
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools, Required
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data to support modernization and governance efforts, Required
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, Required
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, Required

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
