Description Position Summary: Position protects assess by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls. Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors. Pay Range: $47.00 - $61.10 per hour. Requirements Essential Duties
- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, billings, collections, fixed assets, and payroll journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely cash collection by managing the monthly billing cycle and optimizing cash flow processes.
- Prepare monthly financial statements-including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows-for review and analysis with the CFO.
- Maintain all accounts and general ledgers ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and government regulatory requirements such as Uniform Guidance 2 CFR 200
- Work with CFO as requested to prepare any financial materials, reports, or financial analysis requested by the Board of Directors and/or senior management.
- Plan and manage the annual fiscal audit as well as government audits conducted by entities such as the Auditor-Controller or the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of the Annual Tax Return
- Support the HR Department in coordinating and fulfilling auditors' requests related to the annual 403(b) audit
- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
- Develop and implement the Accounting Department's goals, projects, policies, procedures, methods, and controls.
- Recruit, motivate, train, and retain a competent staff of highly qualified accounting professionals.
- Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Assist CFO on preparation of annual budget, special projects, government contracts
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 4 years of financial experience required. CPA or Masters Degree preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Position requires strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software.

- Position requires strong computer and technology skills, including knowledge of accounting software and Excel (Blackbaud , Financial Edge experience preferred)
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted California Driver's License and maintain current vehicle insurance.
