Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Service is in search of qualified individuals for a full-time Customer Service Specialist role. This position operates under the general guidance of the appointed supervisor and entails providing customer service and administrative assistance for the relevant department. The primary responsibilities of this role include delivering services, information, and support to the public, as well as managing daily operations such as mail, phone communications, filing, registration, fee collection, counter responsibilities, and data entry administrative support tasks for the assigned department. This role typically does not entail supervisory duties; however, it may involve giving work instructions or guidance to volunteers and others as designated.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Dulles South Recreation & Community Center, South Riding, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Delivers polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, vendors, citizens, and other visitors; directs customers to the relevant staff.
* Manages participant files and records as necessary for program oversight and assessment.
* Handles every aspect of the office's multi-line telephone system; addresses, assesses, and redirects incoming calls to the correct inter-department personnel or external agency with courtesy and sensitivity to the situation.
* Handles the scheduling and operations related to the conference room.
* May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.




Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience in a clerical position involving contact with the public and working with automated systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bilingual skills preferred.
* One (1) Year of Parks and Recreation Experience.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo credit, DMV, and criminal background checks. Driver's license must be valid, and driver's record must be good. Driver records may undergo an annual review to confirm their continued eligibility.
