The Finance Director, Corporate Planning & Analysis will drive strategic initiatives and lead complex finance projects across the organization, with significant involvement in FP&A activities. Working closely with the Head of CP&A and cross-functional teams, the Director will deliver projects that support business objectives, enhance financial performance, and enable long-term growth. The Director will also provide management oversight to the Finance Manager, Corporate Planning & Analysis and other project staff.

What the day will look like

  • Partner with the Head of CP&A to identify, scope, and lead CP&A projects.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for CP&A projects and broader organizational initiatives.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources for multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to the Manager, Corporate Planning & Analytics and any additional project staff.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, modeling, and scenario planning to support business case development and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Develop and present clear project updates, recommendations, and outcomes to executive leadership.
  • Monitor project risks, proactively identify issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead change management efforts for new processes and systems resulting from CP&A projects.
  • Ensure projects comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, FP&A, corporate strategy, or project management within a large organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing CP&A projects, preferably in a finance or FP&A function.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or managing staff.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including experience presenting to senior executives.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $145,000 - $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
