Dundalk, Maryland Pay From: $20 per hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant Must have 2 plus years of Medical Assistant experience Must have experience giving injections Must have experience working with EMR Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds Must have experience working in a multi-provider fast-paced office Women's health experience is highly preferred DUTIES: Medical Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Take vital signs (blood pressure, weight), collect medical histories, and prepare examination rooms for visits Help physicians during examinations, such as pelvic exams, and assist with minor procedures like Pap smears and colposcopies Collect and process lab samples and perform basic lab tests Administer injections and medications as directed Provide support during and after delivery, assist with postpartum care, and provide comfort to expectant mothers Help physicians with procedures like pap smears and IUD insertions Act as a second person in the room to help the patient and physician feel more comfortable during the exam Measuring weight and belly size are important parts of making sure a pregnant mother and her baby stay healthy Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
