Job Title: Cost Senior Accountant

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team and support our operations with accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and performance insights. ________________________________________ Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting functions, month-end close, financial analysis, and reporting within a complex and fast-paced trading environment. This position requires strong knowledge of trading-related accounting practices, financial instruments, and international regulatory frameworks. Experience in commodities, derivatives, or physical trading operations is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP. * Reconcile and manage trading P&L, mark-to-market valuations, and inventory accounting. * Analyze trading-related exposures and ensure proper accounting for derivatives and hedging activities. * Perform cost accounting analysis, including tracking, allocating, and reconciling direct and indirect costs related to commodities and trading operations. * Work closely with front, middle, and back office teams to ensure correct trade capture and valuation. * Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies. * Manage intercompany transactions and consolidations for global entities. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. * Monitor compliance with internal controls and contribute to ongoing process improvements. * Leverage NetSuite ERP for financial reporting, consolidation, and operational accounting processes. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 5+ years of progressive accounting experience * Solid understanding of accounting for derivatives, trading inventory, cost accounting, and mark-to-market principles. * Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
