Mechanical Engineer - Plant Operations Location: Ewing, NJ \| Full-Time/Direct Hire Salary: $45,000 - $48,000 Shift: Day Shift (Flex) Staffmark is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support plant operations, maintenance, and production optimization. Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, lead preventive maintenance programs, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment; design and implement preventive maintenance programs. Interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics; develop simple CAD designs for tooling and fixtures. Lead capital projects and equipment installations; coordinate with contractors and internal teams. Manage spare parts inventory and assist with procurement for cost-effective, timely solutions. Maintain SOPs, equipment logs, and documentation; provide training to engineers and mechanics. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. 1 year of experience with plant equipment, automation systems, and preventive maintenance. Proficient in CAD, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
