"Off-scale" salaries, which yield compensation that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. The Advanced Reactors Group aims to solve engineering challenges that will enable the development and deployment of advanced reactors and fuel cycles. We use a combination of computational tools-neutron transport, thermal-hydraulics, thermo-mechanics, DEM, machine learning-to design and analyze a variety of systems. Our work includes, but it is not limited to, molten salt reactors, pebble bed reactors, and liquid metal cooled reactors. The duties of the position include:
